Sligo Bay
Sligo Bay, bay on the north coast of County Sligo, Ireland, that comprises the estuaries of the Rivers Drumcliff, Bonet, and Unshin, at the head of which are the communities of Drumcliff, Sligo, and Ballysadare. There is a long tradition of fishing in the region, but only salmon is now profitable. Sligo Bay is recognized as part of Irish territorial waters because of its long history of use from Ireland. There are five sandy beaches, the most notable being at Rosses Point and Strandhill.
