Aunuu Island

Aunuu Island, also spelled Aunu‘u, volcanic island off the east coast of Tutuila, American Samoa, in the south-central Pacific Ocean. The island has a land area of about 0.6 square mile (1.6 square km) and rises to 275 feet (84 metres). Pop. (2000) 1,768.
