Patrick Mahomes, in full Patrick Lavon Mahomes II, (born September 17, 1995, Tyler, Texas), American gridiron football quarterback who became one of the premier players in the National Football League (NFL) early in his career after being named the NFL’s most valuable player (MVP) in his second season as a professional (2018) and leading the Kansas City Chiefs to victory in Super Bowls LIV (2020) and LVII (2023); he was named MVP of both games. In the 2022 season Mahomes won his second NFL MVP award.
