Sarangpur, town, northwestern Madhya Pradesh state, central India. It lies on the Malwa Plateau, just east of the Kali Sindh River.

Sarangpur is located on an ancient site. It has a number of Jain and Hindu ruins, including a 12th-century Jain statue. The town rose to importance in the 13th century under Sarang Singh Khichi, for whom it is named, and was a chief Mughal trade centre. It passed to Dewas princely state by treaty in 1818.

Sarangpur is an important commercial and agricultural trade centre and is engaged in sugar milling and hand-loom weaving. Pop. (2001) 32,294; (2011) 37,435.
